Enjoy All Day community team basketball challenge games between Community organizations and continuous youth sports contests and clinics ( basketball, soccer, football ) in 4 age levels between 6-18. Entertainment and celebrity appearances along with Vendor Booths, a Silent Auction, music, games and more will enhance the experience. Great fun for families and area youth! (All Contest participants must fill out a “Liability Release Form” signed by their Guardian if they are under 18 years of age).

Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters & their children can attend at NO CHARGE! (Liability Release Form is required for each particpant)

Our sincerest thanks to California Lutheran University management, Athletic Directors and their staffs, for hosting and supporting this great day and event.
Kiwanis of Thousand Oaks and the 4 YMCA’s of SouthEast Ventura County each provide broad service to the Youth of our wonderful Community in so many wonderful ways.
We have joined together to provide this Inaugural, special, all day Community Wide Sports Event we can all enjoy and participate. The Net Proceeds from the Youth Sports Extravaganza will be GIVEN BACK (prior 7 years event named “Give Back Games”) to our Community to help our neighbors in need through our Community MANNA Food Bank and to enhance the Community activities of our 2 organizations. Our Kids are our future and their success and pleasure are the key to our continued overwhelming success as a world class place to grow, thrive, work and live.
We know you and your families will enjoy this “Hands-On’ approach which will allows all attendees to observe, participate, win prizes and great auction items, enjoy celebrity appearances, vendors music games and more. We will look to expand our already extensive activities into other youth popular areas in the coming years.


T.O. KIWANIS which serves at community events, provides service leadership in clubs at all age levels in schools, plus awards numerous high school scholarships.


YMCA – the Southeast Ventura County YMCA builds relationships, impacts lives and strengthens our community through offering programs supporting youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

MANNA – our local food bank which provides more than 230,000 meals annually. We all “Give Back” to our community in numerous ways. Get on board!”

Youth Sports Extravaganza: Give Back Games


Thanks to CLU for providing the use of their amazing Sports Complexes, the outdoor William Roland Stadium, the indoor Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center, the areas between the 2 and generous parking facilities, at no cost to you, to enable this Major Event and Fundraiser to be available to virtually everyone wishing to attend.
6 Community Challenge Basketball games between various Community Organizations will go on all day in the 1500 seat indoor Gilbert Basketball arena, while next door in a second large Gym, our Youth will be competing in Basketball Contests for prizes.
At the same time, the beautiful outdoor William Roland Stadium will be used for all day sports Contests and Clinics in Football and Soccer, also with great prizes .
The outdoor area between the 2 sports arenas and the indoor Gilbert lobby will host Registration, the Silent Auction, Vendor Booths, Games, Music and Food Vendors and will prominently Recognize our generous Sponsors. It will keep your day moving especially as our youth move around from Contest to contest.

The Youth Sports Extravaganza Give Back Game will feature at six 30 minute exhibition basketball games with great entertainment from TNT Dunk Squad and the Sparkles Cheerleaders. As in past years there will be fierce competitions for team bragging rights between all kinds of local groups including the Ventura County Sherriff’s Department vs. the Ventura County Fire Department, members of the Kiwanis versus Rotary Clubs of Thousand Oaks, Boys & Girls Club of Conejo Valley Youth vs. YMCA youth and KEY Club members from several of our local high schools.


We will have 9 Sports Contests ongoing throughout the day from 10:00o to 4:00, 3 Contests in each of Basketball, Football and Soccer. Each Contest will have a Coordinator and will be clearly marked by signage. It will be a great opportunity to practice and show your skills against others in your age group. You can move around all day from one Contest to another at designated indoor and outdoor sites. Like “Play Until You Drop” !!!
The 9 Contests will be in approximately 2 hour increments (See the Schedule) with prizes awarded to the winners of each interval by age group, i.e. 4 winners of 9 Contests every 2 hours. All together every 2 hours, 36 prizes will be awarded which is a total of 108 prizes for the day. Lots of fun and energy, but leave some time to enjoy the great activities, 6 Competition Basketball Games, Vendor Booths, Silent Auction items, AND ESPECIALLY the Noon Entertainment, the world famous TNT DUNK SQUAD in the main basketball gym, trick dunking, flying and tumbling with fan involvement, the amazing SPARKLES CHEER LEADERS and more invited guests likely to join us.
And remember, CLU is the off season home of our great L.A. Rams who this year were the NFL’s Western Conference Champions, many of whom are being invited to join us.
The only Contest limitation is that you can win only once in each of the 9 Contests , so no wringers !!! But that’s as many as 9 potential prize opportunities per person.

Youth Sports Extravaganza: Give Back Games

The TNT Dunk Squad has been thrilling audiences around the world with their electrifying slam dunk entertainment for almost 2 decades. Keith Cousino and Brian Smith, former members of the world renowned Bud Light Daredevils, combined forces to form the TNT Dunk Squad. Whether its a basketball halftime show, TV appearance, school assembly or pep rally or a corporate event, the TNT Dunk Squad will rock your event with high flying trampoline aerial stunts, spectacular slam dunks and unmatched showmanship.

Sparkles Cheerleaders

The Sparkle Effect was started by two high school students in Bettendorf, Iowa to promote inclusion of students with disabilities in high school cheerleading programs.

Inspired by The Sparkle Effect, a group of 30 Newbury Park High School cheerleaders set on a path to bring a similar program to their own school. With the supports of parent advisors and school administrators, the girls shared their idea with the parents of students in the special education department. The response was overwhelmingly positive. The Conejo Sparkles differs from the program begun in Bettendorf in that all of our special needs cheerleaders are actually students on the three high school campuses. This has allowed very special relationships to form between the participants in the program, our Peer Coaches and our Sparkles. The Conejo Sparkles cheer at select sporting events like football, basketball, baseball and softball. They also cheer during the school rallies. It is at the rallies that one is really able to see the student support of this program. The joy and excitement on the faces of the Sparkles Cheerleaders is beyond description!
We are excited they will be joining us for our Youth Sports Extravaganza in March!
